"It's still fun to see the improvements and subtle changes that we have enjoyed while playing Bear Creek over the last 32+ years. But some things that never change are the snow-capped mountains in constant view, the mallards and blackbirds fussing around the pond on #2, the congenial, no frills atmosphere that attracts the beginners and low handicappers alike. The local golfers feel fortunate to have a course of this caliber in the upper Methow Valley. Some of the outsiders call this course a hidden jewel. My suggestion--Try it! I'm sure you will like it."

"At Bear Creek I enjoy the friendly staff, challenging layout and great views . We've made it a part of our 'summer tour' for the past 20 years. I'm from the 'coast' and love to golf where it is DRY and the ball sits up on the fairway grass! Enjoy!"

"My Seattle friends can hardly wait for summer to play Bear Creek with me. They like to call it 'tricky little Bear Creek', because it can bring even some 8 to 10 handicappers to their knees. They love it! And it's great for the 'developing' golfer as well, which is what I will always be, because it is so 'user friendly.'"
Jack Miller

"Bear Creek is one of my favorite courses to play. It's a surprising challenge for all and a pleasure to the eye. Great staff, bargain prices! P.S. - See you this spring!"

Hole#10 Avoid pine trees in front of tee! Great chance for birdie. Hole#1 Great start/elevated tee, Straight ahead Hole#18 Cutting could cost you. #3 or #5 wood off the tee is a good bet. Hole#17 Tunnel vision! Straight off tee should make par. Hole#8 Panoramic par 3. Lots of trouble long and left! Hole#9 Watch the woods on the left! Stay in the short grass - easy hole. Hole#7 Grunt, groan, uphill climb, the right side is the best! Hole#16 Billy goat fairway/tricky green! Drop down 2 clubs for second shot. Hole#15 Hole in One potential! Favor the right side. 1 club less than you think. Hole#6 Gorgeous view/elevated tee! Stay in the center. Hole#14 Don't get caught behind the knoll! It still plays long. Hole#5 Looong par 4! Left is good. Hit it hard, it plays long! Hole#13 Elevated tee/stay right! Good chance for a birdie if hole is up front. Hole#4 Rough on right can grab your ball! Lots of room if you stay left. Hole#3 Dog - leg left! Cut over the trees if you're brave! Hole#12 Number 1 back 9 handicap hole! A long drive will carry the trees.
